Carl began performing when he was 10 years old.  First playing piano, and then switching to drums, and then to bass.

He played in Cover bands in upstate New York, touring up and down the east coast

He eventually relocated to Hollywood, CA. in 1985, playing the “Sunset Strip” scene in a handful of rock bands. In 1994, Carl, as a session bassist, recorded tracks for Takara, who released 4 albums nationally, and internationally.

Takara consisted of Leader, founder, and main songwriter, Neal Grusky on guitar and featured vocal talent and some production duties from singer Jeff Scott Soto (Yngwie Malmsteen, Talisman, Journey, Sons Of Apollo) and guest appearances from bassist Bob Daisley (Ozzy Osbourne, Rainbow, Gary Moore)

Into the 90’s and 2000’s Carl did mostly freelance work, live and in the studio.

In 2015 Carl released his first solo CD, “Change Of Heart” A collection of tunes that covered the subjects of loss, death, relationships, guilt, suicide and trauma.  Released on Amazon, Ebay, and his Youtube Channel.

In 2021, Carl released 7 singles on Spotify, Amazon, and YouTube.

In may of 2022, Carl, played bass for Guitarist & Songwriter Larry Demarco, on “Goddesses Of Darkness and Light.” 10 songs of Lo Fi instrumental music.

On June 20, 2023, Carl released a CD, “Tiny Screens & Jelly Beans.” A collection of 10 rock instrumentals. You can stream it on Spotify and other streaming platforms.
